VigiCare what is this ?

Vigicare is a free Web Application with direct access without downloading, dedicated to the adverse effects linked to the taking of products used to improve your health and well-being, such as medicines , medical devices , cosmetics or even food supplements .

No more spending hours on the internet, forums, etc. looking for medical information that sometimes turns out to be false or contradictory. VigiCare analyzes your symptoms and guides you as best as possible in order to improve the safety of product use and limit their adverse effects.

Based on an artificial intelligence system using scientific data enriched by patient data, Vigicare allows you to quickly analyze your symptoms and determine whether or not they are correlated with taking a product. Once the analysis is carried out, Vigicare supports you in reporting your adverse effects to health authorities.

The Vigicare webapp is dedicated to healthcare professionals and patients, and allows them to report adverse effects linked to the use of your products (medicines, cosmetics, food supplements, etc.).

When it comes to health, the safety of each individual is the watchword of our time . However, with the amount of products aimed at maintaining or improving health and well-being currently available on the market, as well as increasing self-medication, it is sometimes difficult to ensure the safety of use of these products and to know whether the appearance of certain symptoms is linked to their administration or their association.

Currently only 10% of adverse effects are reported . We often hear about the risk-benefit balance, the reduction of side effects, reasoned prescription, etc. But it is becoming increasingly complicated to correctly reassess this risk-benefit balance, which creates real public health problems. As evidence, it is estimated that each year more than 10,000 people die because of adverse effects (iatrogenic) in France.

A very efficient pharmacovigilance system for medicines, but… Another very important point, the pharmacovigilance system which allows to take back the adverse effects related to medicines is a very efficient system, the health authorities are efficient in processing the data which concern the medicine. This is much less the case for the vigilances which ensure the safety of food supplements, cosmetics and other types of products which are very often used for health and well-being but for which the decline in terms of safety is less well known.

In collaboration with many health professionals , we have developed a system allowing everyone to analyze their symptoms and determine whether a link can be established between them and taking a product.

A big plus for healthcare professionals who have an obligation to report adverse effects, we guide you to know whether you must report adverse effects or not, according to articles L5121-25, L5139-9, L5112-2 and L5212-14, L5132-114, R1323-1 to R1323-6 of the public health code. A time saver for you and security for your daily practice.
